Sunflower Fields at Majura Valley Farm, Canberra Australia
Taken with Fujifilm X-T30ii and Fujinon XF 27mm f2.8 lens; Edited in Lightroom

While visiting family in Canberra, we went out to Majura Valley Farm to see the sunflowers. They make me so happy just looking at them. Aren't they beautiful? After a few rows, I saw some cheeky kids (or grown-ups?) have picked the seeds out to make these amusing faces. I though it was quite funny.
I took these photos in bright daylight with Reggie's Portra recipe. Then editing in Lightroom, I added some warmth and exposure; then increased the grain for a film-like or nostalgic look. It was a nice bright sunny day so I didn't have to compensate or edit too much with my Fujifilm.

The family-friendly Majura Valley Farm Sunflower Maze is not open all year around. It will return again in March 2027, opening from Wednesday to Sunday (including public holidays), from 9 am until the sun sets.
Entry is free, but you must register before hand. If you wish to pick sunflowers, you pay per stem (limit of 5 per person) and complimentary secateurs are provided for sunflower picking. Both card and cash are accepted at the gate. Also there is a store on-site and you can grab some snacks, coffee and local produce. A great resting area before heading back into the maze.

Below is the map to get the farm. It is around ten minutes drive from Canberra's CBD and has plenty of parking on site on the grass fields and farms so please take care.

    1. Thank you visiting! I hope you find some :)
We in Sydney is currently in Winter so the season has ended. For these sunflowers in Canberra they are peaked in March; but I have been to other fields that peak in January-February. It really depends :) On Google it looks like the season is December through March, with January and February being peak for the fields. Hope that helps!
