A Recipe: Marbled Rainbow Pop-Tarts (used original recipe from Tastemade)
Marbled Rainbow Pop-Tarts
Serves 6 people
Duration: 2.5 hours of preparation and baking time
Ingredients for Dough (Metric)
2 1/2 cups all-purpose (plain) flour1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 cup unsalted butter, cold, cut into cubes
1/4–1/2 cup water, cold
Pink, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple food colouring
Filling
Any jam of your choice
Glaze
3 tablespoons whipping cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup confectioner's (icing) sugar
100s & 1000s (rainbow sprinkles)
*also need: baking paper, food processor, fridge, cooling rack

Pop Tart Dough
Mix together the flour, salt, and sugar in a food processor.
Add butter and pulse until it turns into a crumbly meal-like texture.
Drizzle over the ice water and pulse until the dough sticks together when squished together.
Divide the dough into six balls and dye each ball a colour of the rainbow with food colouring.
Flatten each ball of dough into a disk and stack them up in the order of the rainbow.
Twist together, then divide in half, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
Filling

Roll the dough out into a 10x8-inch (25cm by 20cm) rectangle.
Cut into six rectangles and transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Dollop 1 teaspoon of jam onto the centre of one side of each rectangle.
Fold the rectangle over to cover the jam and seal closed with a fork.
Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and fully cool.

Glaze
Combine the whipping cream and vanilla extract in a bowl.
Add the confectioner's sugar and whisk until fully combined.
Spoon some glaze onto each pop tart and decorate with rainbow sprinkles. Enjoy!

Dollar Sweets 100s & 1000sEvery once in a while I like to bake and I love to create these for my family. When you see the coloured dough divided then rolled, it is very satisfying to see the marbled look throughout. I used strawberry jam as my filling. You can be as creative as you like and add any style of sprinkles.
